Dear Mother

Please say this is a dream,
No, no, this is no dream, for I would be a queen
This is a prison in which I cannot escape
My heart, she constantly rapes
I never see an end to this suffering
Like a broken film, continuously buffering
I am stuck with this life that I did not ask for
I wonder the reason for which I was bore
Children are to be adored and loved
Not pushed and shoved
A mother is to be by your side into the late
Not shriek words of awful hate
I really do wonder if love truly exists
Or if it is simply a myth
I have yet to witness true love
I hear it lies with him above
Once upon a time, it was the warmth in a mother's touch
For me to ask a feat that great would be far too much
