Dear Mrs. Hartz

Dear Mrs. Hartz,

You have helped me to grow,
And that’s not all I know,
For you have given me a skill set for a lifetime.

I’ve learned that playing with words is fun,
And it’s not for everyone,
But I enjoy it immensely.

So I shall send you a copy of the book I will write
In a couple of years
Or over fourteen thousand nights.

And when you decide that it’s time to retire,
Please look at your past
At all those who you’ve inspired.

You’ll see my name at the top of the list,
And just know
That you’ll be truly missed.

I will take you with me wherever I go,
And these were some things I wanted you to know
Before my time is up and I have to go.
