She cries in the shower
Wishing to disappear
Hating how he treats her
And how he calls her "Dear"

"Dear you may not eat that"
"Dear you need to be thin"
"Dear you need to look like her"
"Dear you need to fit in"

"Dear go put a dress on"
"Dear don't wear that shirt"
"Dear you look so ugly"
"Dear you look like dirt"

"Nobody will ever love you,"
He says to her as he drinks another beer
Then he stumbles over to her
Runs his fingers through her hair

Expecting her to love him
"Dear don't make me angry.
You know what happens then"

She cannot make a peep,
As he covers up her mouth
"Please somebody hear me,
Please save me from this house"
