Death, Be Kind

A young child sits by her
bathroom sink, disoriented
by disturbing images in her
mind, she holds the razor blade,
which her mom told her never to touch,
her body shaking by the toxicity in her fears,
she presses the metal object hard against her
wrist, cutting away her dreams of being beautiful
and loved someday, she ends her pain, misery, chaos
falling into a deep sleep in where there is no waking up
no more.
Death, be kind for she who is young doesn't know any better
