Death by Heartbreak

Life is like the complicated plumbing to a home.
The roots to a tree.
Earth and metal.
Attachment and emotion.
Connecting to the control center.
The outcome is positive.
Until.

The attachment loses attaching.
The tubes break,
and the dirt sends toxins instead of nutrients.

Slowly, very slowly
the leaves begin to fall.
The pipes begin to break.
all love disintegrated.
For the last time,
your heart
has slightly
cracked
in
half.
