Death from Perception

Poe says there is a dream within a dream
So is what this man sees the same as what that man believes
Is reality really real
or is it fantasy we choose to live
We all seek what is good, yet we find what is not
A choice can make one flower bloom and the other shall rot
Perception amongst men is an eternal debate
Differences evolving into tragedies is humanity's's trait
Satan's angel perceived as a terrible beast
God's demon assumed to be a honest priest
What we know best, is nothing at all
Ignorance is bliss, so true, yet so banal
Destroying the perception of others is the corruption of peace
Continue this trait and watch humanity decease.
