Death’s Light

Like the dawn of a new day
Just as the Christians say
Death now seems like a call
For someone, anyone, to catch your fall
To be led into the blinding light
Away from the darkness of the night
Away from the greedy Devil's hands
My sins have become strands
Blown away in God's fierce wind
The fire will no longer burn or singe
Standing proudly before my Lord
Standing before the gates in which Heaven is stored
With a sweep, opened are Heaven's gates
Heaven is more than the Bible states
The glistening, nameless walkways
Our world is a mere shadow to this, just as the Bible says
The fruits ripe on the full trees
The taste better than any store on the streets
In Heaven, there is nothing to fear
Knowing your Lord God is always near
