Death’s Road

death they say is a road less taken
in which is a lie
death is a road taken many times
it's the road I take a daily trip through
I walk up and down this long road
awaiting him
for he said we would go together
yet another lie I have heard
I went alone
drowning in suffering
trapped within the black water
the further I went down
the darker it seemed
I looked up
and saw his face
as clear as light
I remain still like I was asleep
now I walk on deaths road
waiting for you
