Another December is near again,
The dreadful season,
Each year I'm trapped in,

When I look out my windows, here's what I see,
People smiling and laughing,
Gathered families,
Please hurry, just pass,
So I don't see,
All the things that December keeps reminding me,
Parties, lights, decorations and trees,
Haunting memories of those,
Who long left me

I run from you,
Every time you come close,
I hide from these things,
That hurt me the most,

Oh December, why do you torment my soul?
Just 31 days
And a lifetime ago

Every season I pretend
You don't exist,
Please, no presents or party invitation lists,

Oh December, you are not my friend,
But you keep coming back,
Over and over again...
