#Deep

I looked up and saw the moon
Bright and cheeky, a cheshire grin in d’skies
I wanted it to mean something but
It didn’t
I looked down and saw a flower
Thin and delicate, a spiderweb bursting with dew
I wanted it to mean something but
It didn’t
I looked out into the world
Loud and chaotic, a bazaar with more people than wares
I wanted it to mean something but
It didn’t
I looked into myself
Too old and too young, a child burdened with license to adulthood
I wanted to mean something but
I don’t
But whatever
Meaning is overrated
