Deep Breath

By

I have too many feelings
Spiraling inside my head.
Feelings better left unsaid.
They form a restless tempest
That cannot abate.
A tempest of rage and happiness,
One of love and one of hate.
Deep breath.

Swallow your rage,
Here's a life we can't amend;
Bury your pride
in one we'd rather play pretend.
Deep breath.
Hide your smile.
to feel nothing is to ascend.
They'll bury you alive,
There's too many causes for you to defend.
I just need a-
There's a world for you to upend.
I just need a deep breath,
Before I go under again.
