Defense Mechanism

I possess an object
Which no one can conquer
Only from my being can it be demolished
For all fear come nowhere close
All reasoning based upon its fate
All justice is made at its mercy
Its expense serves me peace of mind
No one’s words or action will affect me
Albeit these things, I sense injustice
All things are diverting me
Words are daunting me
Starvation strikes me fast
My mind is famine
My heart is stone cold
My body looks depart
Tears shed my soul
Once seeming impartial
Barricading all irrationalities
Feeling left behind with no one to hear me
I let go of the shield
Felt a draft of relief
My heart start to thaw
Fear I no longer see

This Poems Story
