Deflating

Deflating

Looking on the outside she’s full of life
Quiet and fragile
When she lets out air she’s open
Open to the world
It’s hard to breathe but she wants to share this part of her
Slowly pouring all she has, out
Deflating until she’s limp like the rest of them
Ready to snap just because she was open
Ready to break just because she wanted to be like them
Ready to burst just because she wanted to be accepted
Doing all of this just to be left unseen
She inflates with more air
More life
Just waiting for someone to pass her by
