Delirium 2020

By

In a white wall asylum
on the other side of the world
I was pacing back and forth
In and out of consciousness
I saw you there
in the deepest corner
of the darkest crevasse of my mind
Waiting there for me
in pitch black silence
Ever hauntingly so
I thought if I could keep you there
I could keep myself sane
While the the plague took reign
and our entire worlds changed,
around us
Days turned into months
Now, it has almost been a year
I have tried to imagine
Tried to imagine you to appear
You are gone
