Denial

Denial and shame lead to silence.
For who I am isn't good enough
for this world.
No one sees me the way I was made,
and I even deny who looks back at me in the mirror.
Too much shame and fear keep the real me silent.
I let fear consume me and swallow the truth.
I live a fake life with my fake mask.
So that they never have to know.
