Departure

Rotting flesh, fall away
And give birth to decay
Fresh pain like no other
The regret of my mother
A void lay in my heart
A torment to depart
And a soul now left alone
The sorrow that life hath shown
Yet, bring some peace of mind
The new life some will find
Of a love selfless and pure
Despite all the hurt endured
Stricken with disease
Never to be pleased
Rotting heart, fall away...
A lost daughter's dismay
