As income exchanges
Are shoved into the Arena of Darwinism,
Civilians make their marks
On their tickets to the outside world,
And Cabin Fever turns from pest to neighbor,
Though we’re protected from the infected,
We’re not protected from what suffers the most.
Familiar walls make us long for adventure.
Oh, the places we’d go...but must only imagine.
New fears flourish,
From nurturing by people who are allergic to safety.
Noises you know get louder,
Discoveries are easier to reach,
The grass gets greener,
And a lack of humanity turns orange.
Introverts get their the cost of intrusion.
Memory Lane gets the cost of heartbreak.
Thought Express gets the cost of derailing.
