Desperation

Silence is haunting.
Scattering reality,
Plagues the mind with truth.
Death is sobering,
Inconceivable.
There are no mistakes waiting
For you at death's door.
Quietness of death
Is a longing companion
You shouldn't strive for.
Why would you embrace
Such a stagnant existence?
Clawing in your head-
It's hard to ignore. I know.
I felt the silence,
Heard the tendrils of despair.
But you must fight it,
Grasp the illusion
To break through reality.
