Destiny

By

The friction in thought is fear of one's self,
The mysterious foe is thine,
Yet, the balancing force which controls the divorce,
Is courage, compassion and time.

Take council from years and wisdom from fears,
Add prayer to your list, don't sway;
Invest how you feel to reap your idea,
Design a new you each day.

An empty heart which yields no love,
Shall harvest but the same,
Tho' the banquet for a few can be shared by you,
If you're aware of to whom to blame.

The shallow eye which sees but itself,
Will focus its' fortunes on dust,
But, to share is to care and be fully aware,
Don't paint your pictures on rust.

Your life will be as you make it,
Your destiny is not just fate,
For the pathway to peace is awaiting,
Those who swing the gate.
