The wind whistling
All around her
She stands on the
Edge of life
And death

Long chestnut locks
Billowing around
Her tear-soaked face
She peered over
The nine story ledge

As she gazed downward
She thought of her life
And all she wanted to
Still accomplish and see
She decided to turn around

Suddenly, losing her
Footing she collapsed at
The very edge of the roof
And quick as a flash she
Slipped backward, falling fast

Down to the city street
