Destiny calls

You did raise me bold,
In tears of joy You made me bleed,
As I looked beneath the earth for gold,
All I could find was You indeed.

I gazed for the stars with the sun high,
They were long gone for me to seize,
As I looked over the moon far my reach with a sigh,
In reality I was looking for You through the breeze.

If I fall into those dark pits,
Will Your hand be strong enough for me to hold?
Or if my weeping heart be broken into bits,
Will You mend it for me so cold?

My destiny is like a river flowing,
When I can't find You in the sky,
I will be among the birds flying,
For I know You will find me by.
