Deux Femmes

Let us make our way into the night
Below the Parisian sky without a fight,
We’ll travel through ponds icy and black
Hoping to never turn our backs back.
Let us mark our love into the Eiffel Towered sea
Swim in endless holy matrimony,
Paradise is written in the stars
Descending like asteroids on lands afar.
Let us dream while riding trains to Paris
Conversing with a stranger who calls herself an heiress,
We’ll be the fairest lovers wearing rain coats and lipstick,
The air may seem a bit cruel and cryptic
But darling,
Never underestimate the beauty of the sparling.
