Devil's Playground

I can remember it like it was yesterday-
paranoia and the fear
that, surely, meth brought to my life.
These thoughts I hold so near!
Let this only be a note of which path I must follow.
For my head was full of plenty doubt,
my heart was drenched in sorrow..
The devil overtook my life,
and like a thief within the night.
Every hour, every minute...
"No, this can't be worth it-is it?"
I'd do a rail, I'd take a shot;
My eyes were black, my body hot.
I begged the cook for more and more,
and with his spell was meth galore!
I'd pick my head, I'd pick my sores...
I never let my body rest, and now I know it was a test!
For God made sleep to heal the soul;
Without, your life will take a toll.
Satan knows his time is near
and only wins through hate and fear!
Do not look back, I say at last...
The devil's playground is your past!
