Diamond Eyes
Your smile is like the sun.
You say you hate it,
But you show it a ton.
If only you saw what I see,
If only you heard what I hear.
When you meet my eyes or laugh,
My heart shines.
Your eyes are like diamonds;
I told you once,
And they widened.
I think I’m in love?
No.
There’s too much unclear.
Oh perhaps I’ll understand
One day,
When I’m not on shifting sand.
You say you hate it,
But you show it a ton.
If only you saw what I see,
If only you heard what I hear.
When you meet my eyes or laugh,
My heart shines.
Your eyes are like diamonds;
I told you once,
And they widened.
I think I’m in love?
No.
There’s too much unclear.
Oh perhaps I’ll understand
One day,
When I’m not on shifting sand.
