Did you hear that?

Did you hear that?
The girl crying in her room.
No, you didn’t you were too busy fixing your hair.
Did you hear that?
The girl silently screaming for help.
No, you were too busy looking at yourself in the mirror.
Did you hear that?
The girl begging for it all to stop.
No, you were too busy trying to be picture perfect.
Did you hear that?
No, you didn’t, you were too busy being oblivious.
Oblivious to all the hate,
All the lies,
All the pain,
All the suffering,
All the starvation,
All the objectification,
All the corruption,
All the cries for help,
All the problems.
Did you hear me?
Did you hear what I just said?
I said you need to realize what is going on in this world.
We are torn apart at the seams.
A nation full of objectification.
I can write and write to make things right but it will never be the same.
Did you hear that?
No, because you’re still oblivious.
Wake up and realize that this world we are living in is not a happy oblivion.
It’s full of violence and corruption,
Self- hate is in mass production.
Do you get it yet?
Get out of your oblivion and realize it’s not as perfect as it seems.
Did you hear that?
Did you hear me?
The world is not a happy oblivion.
So, wake up and start realizing,
Start fixing,
Start attempting.
Do you hear that?
It’s called the realization we don’t have a perfect nation.

This Poems Story

I wrote this at like midnight but I feel that my inner emotions finally came out and I feel that this is true honesty.
