Fidgeting with digital dreams
Not everything is what it seems
Beautiful bushes and luscious lawns
Vibrant views and pretentious palms
They're all just numbers and beams
Don't be fooled by how it seems
The beautiful bushes are just a program
Luscious lawns are simply a graphic
The vibrant views are only an Instagram
Pretentious palms have a little static
You may find a person you like,
I'm trying to warn you, so you won't put up a fight
You'll think your love is true
Because it'll all feel brand new
But the only true love that could ever be true
Is the one that involves me and you
Please don't get sucked into digital dreams
Believe me, it's not what it seems.
You may think that perfection surrounds you, but not quite.
Come back to where the bushes are luscious
and the lawns are beautiful,
not a pixel in sight.
Please come back, I need you
And you, you need me too.
This digital dream is nothing, soon you'll see
Nothing is real, not even me
