Dilemma of the Heart

When the heart is too strong
What becomes of the mind
This desire of the chest
Somehow makes me blind
The strength of emotion
Makes logic hard to find
As passion moves forward
And sense falls behind

A war between head and heart
Is a battle too difficult to fight
They tear each other apart
Until one becomes right
And while it is the head
That always starts stronger
It is the effect of the heart
That always lasts longer

So how could one possibly concentrate
When they feel the life from their heart dissipate
What meaning do our actions hold
If it turns our hearts black with mold
What purpose is there left to serve
When the sensation of feeling has left every nerve
Until the heart achieves its dream
The mind will cease to ever be free
