Sometimes Disappointment speaks
it hurts, and bites, and stings your cheeks
Like fresh snow on a winter night
you soon believe you aren’t so bright
it pools in hair and eyelash tips
and forces mutters through frozen lips
your heart will slowly start to freeze
and pull you apart in a snowy breeze
your gloves are damp, a soggy mess
at times, the snow can hurt you less
than the knowledge of standing in the frozen rain
alone, alone.. alone again.
