Distant Sea

To my love from a distant sea
For I have heard your voice yet haven’t seen
My heart beats for you with tender ease
Yet you would crush my soul and send it in the winding breeze

Though my love is undying, but it can still be forced to slumber
It’s hotter than a blue flame in a winter’s, summer
I tell you about how Venus maimed me and forced me to cower

Then again I’m not but my own god, just looking for my other spiritual half
Am I destined to just look onto you hoping but can never have
Desires for a spare minute you don’t have

You lead me like a Sheppard leads its flock in the morrow’s day
But I still hope, I still pray on that one day
Let’s just remember a sun shines brighter on a cloudy day
