Disturbed Distances

Weeping
Seems years that you've gone.
Deceiving
The lie of love pure and strong.
A heart breaks,
A soul runs in fear.
Let no one see the ugliness that resides here.
Pretending
That you can carry on.
Pretending
That nothing is wrong.
Wishing
That one could just disappear.
Wanting
To know that all will be fine here.
Burdened,
A load that breaks you down.
Feeling
That nothing unconditional can be found.
Remembering
The happiness of the past.
Memories,
They cut you like slivers of broken glass.
What thief has stolen the dreams that were yet to be?
Hopes shattered, never to be set free.
