Diversity In Unity

We think we are all equal
But yet we are not
We think we have control over our futures
But that’s not true at all
We think racism is long gone
But yet it is not
Because until this day
Discrimination is tall

Our ancestors fought for equality
Thinking it will make our nation strong
But little did they know
That it will all end up being wrong.
Don’t worry! It was not the invaders who made it wrong,
It is our minds and our thoughts
That could not remain strong

Our society preaches equality and brotherhood
But never holds true to what it says
The color of your skin does not define you
But it defines how we treat you
The gender you were born in cannot control you
But it does control how much we pay you.
Prejudices cannot limit you
But it limits how much we respect you

Oh! There's nowhere to go with such hypocrisy
Discrimination has turned out to be such a monstrosity.
