do Not say Goodbye just yet.

As I sit on your bed,
I try to mask my weeping.
I gently kiss your head,
As you lay there, sleeping.

Tears run down my face,
But you can never know,
How scared I am of you leaving this place,
Before you see me fully grow.

I am not quite a child,
But I want you to hold me.
I just want to see your beautiful smile,
Before you cross that heavenly sea.

Mommy, I don't know if I could handle losing you.
I just wish there was something more I could do.
