Do We Have a Choice?

I remember from a very young age
How i wanted so badly to grow up
Looking at life now
I realize how it flew by

All of our coloring books gone
Changed into textbooks full of words
Words we didnt care about
Words that we would never need in life

Our lives were getting harder and harder
Our alarms were set earlier and earlier
Every day we would wake up and beg for more sleep
Years and years of our life gone
For what?

They say that they are preparing us
For what?
How is geometry going to help us?
Heres a wakeup call its not

They never ask us what we want
What we want to see
What we want to learn
Well this is life
Other people make decisions for us
Do we have a choice?
