Do You Still Care?

Do you still care for the love between you and I?
I promise to always be there, and to be the shoulder you use to cry.
I have a dollar and a dream that I continue to chase.
I want to take you with me, and put a smile on your face.
I’m not perfect, but I hope to be worth your time.
I’m just a rose that didn’t grow in the garden, and you’re divine like fine wine.
We’re just two lonely stars that glisten in the night sky.
I’m a shy guy watching time pass me by, wondering why I’m letting true love die.
You’re a woman of grace with so much love written on your face.
I hope to be the man that is worthy to be in your place.
I’m gushing and blushing when the thought of you comes to mind.
I just ask that if this love is meant to be, give me a sign.
I love you in a place beyond space and time.
I take this journey of self love towards you, and it’s worth the climb.
I wait for you in the future, when I’m down on one knee.
Watching your face light up, and telling you how much you mean to me.
