Dogs

They're playful since the day they're born
Like a goat but with no horns
Jumping over sticks and logs
Sometimes we don't deserve dogs.

They bark and howl and sniff and snort
They'll play anything of any sort
Terriers, retrievers, but not hedgehogs
Sometimes we don't deserve dogs.

Tall and short and big and small
You just want to pet them all
Will run with you on several jogs
Sometimes we don't deserve dogs.

They can save people who are in trouble
Sniff anything buried under rubble
They are best at doing their jobs
Sometimes we don't deserve dogs.
