Doll

All alone on a dark shelf
While you laugh, and joke
Acting like I wanted to be here
Put on display for your amusement
hoping one day you would come to remember me
Remember that I'm here
that I exist.

I don't stop imaging
I can't stop imagining
Imagining that one day in the future you'll remember
remember I exist and once more I'll be the apple of your eye.

Deep down I know it's pointless
hopeless
futile

Here I am
All alone on a dark shelf.
