Domestic Awakening

As I laid asleep on the couch
And acted like a grouch

A pitter patter like the sound of a platter
Pounced and sat on my bladder

A pair of candid eyes
And paws as soft as mice
Stare right into my eyes
And seep right through my sides

My set of beady eyes
Stare back in fake surprise

Swiftly swiping back
A watery pack of slime

Time to hit the road
And finish the workload

But before I go
I need to get the fodder
To feed the seven pounds
On hair on top of my matter
