Don’t Look

Misshapen fate draws emotions
tears into that weak wall
ripping apart my devotions
making feeling visible to all
forcing me vulnerable and raw
my private mind: bare
straight inside me I saw
that you can see I care
the mask has fallen from my eyes
now you see what I really feel
away from all the lies
slammed into all that's real
how scared I am to be alone
all the hidden fears
my life in a different tone
instead of smiles you see my tears
please turn away from my vulnerable soul
close your eyes to this sight
believe that I'm really whole
and think I'll be alright
