Don’t Stay Silent

What good does staying silent do
When there is so much more that can kill you?

Fates that are truly worse than death
Mere humanity and its corrupted wrath

Old ghosts living deep behind the eyes
Eating away at bits of life they find

Demons hide behind masks of gold
Spreading their evil, turning hearts cold

Innocent souls turned dark to stone
Damned to live forever alone

And if one never speaks of the misery
Alive and sane he'll no longer be

So forever he must lay, imprisoned
To the chains of the night, to evil visions

Slowly driving himself insane
All the light and happiness soon to drain

So what good will silence ever do
When it's the one that will kill you?
