Doom or Glory

Let us sit, in a suffocating silence.
Of doom or glory?
We shall have both tonight.
Tonight, we let them radiate through our bodies,
Through our breath and through our veins they will flow
You cannot have just one,
greedy child.
Tonight and always, we shall have them both.
Let them be forever in us,
So that when one is just out of reach,
we may be at peace with the other.
When the glory comes we shall bath in its sun,
and when the doom comes
we shall devour it like the beasts we are.
