Down As Debbie

I wrote this song for Debbie,
she hates to see a friend progress
And if you've been a friend of Debbie's,
you have some nerve trying to get ahead!
Her glass is always empty, Debbie fills up on regret
Yet her misery is friendly where she's truant as a friend.
Yes, her parents named her Debbie, she reduced on down to Deb
Just listening to Debbie, is like tuning in to death.
She'll make sure your day is ruined, and act as clueless as she can
Never ask her how she's doing, she'll just make us all depressed
Instead, just rid of every Debbie who's just a critic at her best
Intent to keep that bag around is parasitic on success.
She only calls to sob, in hopes the gullible will vent
And never mind her brother Rob,
Because Rob is just as bad as Deb.
