Down Golden Streets

Goodbye, old friend
I'll meet you where the river bends
Somewhere beyond earth and sky
The grass is greener where you lie
Save me a spot in the shade
For I still have some road to pave
Before I reach the streets of gold
At least that is what I am told
Do not feel sad in saying goodbye
Time is a farce, man's biggest lie
It will not seem long at all
Before I answer my own call
And then together we shall meet
Beyond the bend down golden streets
