Dream Year

My hands are clasped behind my head
I'm lying here alone in bed
The new year has arrived at last
I contemplate the the year that's past

I worked and played,I dreamed a dream
Each day I planned a different scheme
Sometimes I lost,sometimes I gained
And wondered how the bills got paid

So now I'll start a year that's bright
I'll dream the dreams asleep at night
I can't return but in my head
My wish comes true alone in bed

Each day is new,some warm some cold
Your heart will tell you which to hold
Just keep on dreaming each night each day
This year will guide you on your way
