Dreaming Tree

A walk under the stars
Like twinkling lights dancing on a foreign land
Such beauty, such grace
Such power hidden beneath their embrace
For as they dance, their secrets leap
Like sparks on the ground
From one to another
Without a single peep
Drawn from the memories
Of the broken-hearted few
They dance to say they belong to you
They belong to the weak, the broken and the confused
They belong to the weary, the lifeless and the used
Within their brilliance they trap the secrets
From the past within their frame
And dance through the night like a tireless game
To keep the precious treasure
Of secrets too painful to bear
Yet they hold them diligently
Every hour as if on a dare
