Dreams

I hear the sound of plants swaying in the breeze,
I hear the sound of waves crashing beneath the sea.
I turn to see the ocean so wonderful and calm.
Wet sand all around me several plants and palms.

In the blink of an eye I see something green.
Long lush grass bushes and trees.
Bright yellow daisies and roses too,
The sky above me is a beautiful blue.

In a split second I feel the wind's icy blow.
I look all around me and only see snow.
The harsh winter weather made my blood run cold.
Yet I didn't want to go, for it was as good as gold.

I open my eyes,
only to find,
That once again,
I am blind.

And though my escape’s over,
It's not as bad as it seems,
‘Cause even though it had to end,
It’s not the end of my dreams.
