Dreams of Silence

Dreams of Silence

The ocean depths and lonely seas,
Where light dares not creep, and
Languid squid swim free,
Like unattended sheep.

Darkness is light in this twilight,
In this place of no abundance,
Where dark things would die for this light,
And sunlight smirks reluctant.

All things there drift like dreams,
In an endless deathly wintry waltz,
Silent sleeping streams,
Entombed in the liquid vault.

And what then, are these dead dreamers dreams?
Do they dream of liberation?

No these sleeping dark deathly things,
They dream of silent things.
