Droplets

Tears falling through the emptiness of air,
Glistening,
Like slivers of glass that dance on the hard floor.
Beauty that was once like a dream,
is now no more.
Rose kissed lips are now as blue as the moon,
Eyes that sparkled with life
are now as still as the night itself.
A shirt,
white as innocence,
now red with what kept the heart living.
One less soul to suffer,
One voice gone unheard,
One man
walks free
after stealing the life,
the innocence,
of a woman
who is no more.
