Drowning

By Elliyah

I hold my breath and dive in deep
The pools of my mind can only drown me
I yell and I scream but it’s useless
There are no lifeguards in this pool so swim at your own risk

The demons inside have a common goal
To rip me apart and turn my heart into stone
This is a hell to which there is no escape
A room to which only has your name

You don’t know hell until you’ve visited the one in your mind
The one that you hide and makes you force a smile
They ask Is it really that bad tho is it really that deep
I’d let them take a swim but theyd drown because of me
