Ducks On the Pond

The strongest man I've ever met
To have half the strength you had would be a success.
Strength cut down by an unforgiving disease
With broken hearts we saw you lose your mind

A cruel disease that robbed a son of his father
A disease that robbed a wife of her husband
A disease that robbed a father from his daughter
A disease that robbed a grandfather from his grandchildren

You built a family with the strength you had
A family rich with faith
A family rich with a love like none other

A cruel disease that couldn't rob you of that smile
A cruel disease that couldn't rob you of your faith
A cruel disease that couldn't rob you of your humor

With broken hearts we watched this disease destroy your mind
But we saw the love in your eyes
The man we once knew in those eyes
This disease robbed a family of a loving man

We know you got your strength back
You built a family to help God build a kingdom
I'm sure He shook your hand and said; "thank you, and welcome to your new work shop"

Rest in peace with ducks on the pond
