Dusk in Gold

Lazily the sun says her goodbye
and turns the dusk into gold

My head on your chest,
the restless mind quiets
I feel the beat of your heart,
steadying the rhythm of mine

You taste my moonshined skin,
savouring the whiskey dropped lips
Your fingers touch like summer rain,
washing over me, leaving my sweet body hum

Times, when wind and stars tugging at my soul,
You let me fly with the nightly shadows
Stretching my wings, trusting I will return
And lover I never stay away for long

Finding you at dusk that turned to gold,
I let myself fall, unfold right beside you
Sharing magic and fairytale dreams,
Knowing you hold me tight before I fall apart

Wrapped in your arms becomes my world,
my soul whispers, "You," and thinks, "Home"
